A five-day program

Diagnostic treatment is designed to provide diagnostic and treatment planning services as a consulting service to STAR clients who cannot come to the Center for complete therapy.

In diagnostic treatment, you come to STAR for five days during which your or your child undergoes screening, intake evaluation, assessment, feedback, and 5-7 therapy sessions that are evaluative in nature (i.e., treatment is structured to elicit more diagnostic information). Auditory testing is also included when age-appropriate.

At the end of the program, a planning session is held with the therapist during which you co-develop a written plan for use at home or with your therapist where you live. Consultation with your "at-home" therapist or teacher can be arranged by telephone if you desire.
